Fevers

Maeve has now officially been sick.  And it's not pretty.  Saturday, she started with fevers and general fussiness.  This just happened to coincide with Maeve meeting Santa for the first time.  It did not look pretty...

Luckily there were plenty of people to help calm her down...

Well, The weekend was a roller coaster from there.  Maeve was really fussy, which is not her normal.  She was feeling hot...so we checked her temperature and she was 102.4.  So she got some Tylenol and was off to bed.  Or so I thought! She was up the whole night, not just fussing anymore, but crying.  The fever continued to climb to 103.9! Poor baby!  She was able to sleep the whole way to Gigi's 80th birthday celebration in Doylestown so she was a good baby for the party.

We got home and things were not any better, even worse with her fever.  Poor Maeve!!  So Monday we went to the doctor and got some blood drawn.  Good news, she is okay, just a virus, bad news...she still is very cranky and crying!  So we are officially on the down side of the illness, as her fever is only 100.7 tonight.  I am looking forward to seeing her beautiful smiling face all the time again!

9 months...a little late...

Sorry it has been a bit for another blog update.  Holiday time is crazy for everyone, but I have found it particularly busy now that Maeve is able to crawl around and pull herself up.  So this post is a bit lengthy, you are forewarned!  I will give you her 9 month update, then tell you the other fun stuff we have been up to.

So at Maeve's 9 month appointment with the pediatrician, she, of course, got measured.  So here are the stats!:
Height: 30 inches (75th%)
Weight: 17lbs 2 oz (25th%)
Head circumference: 17 1/4 inches (50th%)
She still is in 9 month cloths but is fitting into 12 month as well.  The doctor told us to start trying some meats, so we had some meatballs and some ground up chicken.  Both were a hit!  She is also starting to eat some dairy.  The big take home messages were to help her learn through reading and safe exploration.  Safety was also a big send home message.  She is picking things up and able to move about, so she is going to get into things.  We have to go through the house on our hands and knees and explore before she does.  So here are some pictures from her 9 month photo shoot!
