Fathers Day

It was great to spend the day with Josh and Maeve on Father's Day.

Maeve made him two presents, a card and a stepping stone.
 I got Josh a Tottenham Hotspur (soccer team) shirt and got Maeve a matching hoodie.

 The best present is watching the joy in both their eyes...

Four States

This past weekend, Josh, Maeve, and I traveled to Fredericksburg, VA to visit the McClouds.  The trip takes about five hours, as we drove through four states to get there.  It was great catching up with them and seeing their beautiful family.  It is crazy to think that it was eight years ago we were all just out of college, figuring out what our lives were to become, and today we sat together, married with children.  Enjoy the slideshow!

Johnny Jumper

I remember my parents telling me how much my sister and I loved to be in our Johnny Jumper.  My Grandmother (aka Gigi) got one for Maeve at a yard sale (She is the thriftiest woman I know!).  Yesterday, we decided to break it out and give it a shot.  Maeve has much better control over her head, so we thought it would be time to get working on those chicken legs of hers!  It is hysterical to watch her in it!!  There really isn't much jumping going on, but soon!!
Chillin' in the jumper
Feet barely touch!

So cute!
Discovering the ropes...

Utterly exhausted...

Leave me alone...I just want to sleep!

 She is her father's daughter...she can sleep anywhere!!!

3 Months

Maeve was 3 months old on June 2nd.  I had bought these stickers called Sticky Bellies that are monthly milestone stickers.  So each month, there is a new sticker.  It is a great way to remind me to take her picture each month and document how much she has grown!!

She is getting so big...
Cheeks McElroy, clearly underfed....
Ok that was just a bad angle of a picture.  I clearly need to teach her how to show off the strong jaw~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So Maeve has been doing more talking and making noises ad getting better control of her head and hands.  She does ok with tummy time and is pushing herself up and to the side.  But when Maeve and I were laying in the grass on the quilt from Lois, Maeve was having tummy time and decided she was going to roll over!! Woohoo!! I was so excited! Now I realize this was probably a fluke, but I am looking forward to seeing her rolling around, and crawling around, and walking around, and then running around!!  I will probably eat those words later, but for now, it is exciting!!
Pushing herself off and to the side...
then, plop! right over on her back!! Such a big girl!!
So she did a dance to celebrate...
Memorial Day weekend
Memorial Day weekend was a busy one.  We went to the McElroy picnic on Sunday.  We got to introduce Maeve to a lot of family members and friends.  It was amazing to see how may kids were at the picnic this year.  I am sure there will only be more as time goes on!!
Four generations: Larry, Grammy, Jill, Sloane, Sammy, Josh, Maeve, Georgia, Frank, Tony, and Bernie
There were not one, but two baby pools!! We were so excited for the kids to play, but when we got them all dressed up and in the pools, all they did was cry...it was quite funny.  We called them the pools of tears...but the shots are cute!
That Monday, we headed to Pop-pop Faust's house to go into a big pool.  Kersten, my partner at work, had given us a baby flotation device (see pic).  Maeve needs to grow into it some more, but she stayed in the pool for 20 minutes and was kicking her feet in the pool.  Her hands were all wrinkled when she came out.  And the best part was no one noticed the drool!
Grammy Gail gave Maeve an old Fisher Price Xylophone.  Maeve then gave us a beautiful concert!
Happy Memorial Day!!!
