Happy Half a Year
Maeve Willow McElroy
6 Months
August 2, Maeve turned 6 months old. Josh and I thought about how much she has changed, as our lives in the last 6 months. Five months ago we were so proud that she was able to hold her own head up, now she is able to stand and hold her weight up.
Standing with Mommy
Standing with Daddy
She sits on her own.
She babbles away and shrieks (which our friend Mike and Jess call pterodactyl).
Everything goes into her mouth...EVERYTHING!
Eating her tulle on her Toolbelt Tutu, compliments of Nan
She starting eating solids. Her first food was avocado.
Yum! Avocado!
She likes to grab things, toys, spoons, your face, other babies, the cat..we are working on this.
She loves her feet, she can eat her feet.
Can't decide which she wants more in her mouth, her foot or her fingers...tough decisions!
Her hair is growing on the top of her head and in the very back. We have nicknamed her Mohawk Maeve for this reason.
*Disclaimer, I do not style Maeve's hair like this, this was only for the photo!
When she looks in a mirror, she gets very excited and tries to grab, hug, and kiss the baby she sees.
"Who is that!?"
"Hi!"
"What's up?"
Awww, *Kisses*
She smiles at you, she giggles, she cuddles when she is sleepy. In this first year, where every month is a milestone, her development seems so rapid. But soon, I could be sending her off to college! So we are trying to cherish every minute, every second of her now and every day. We love you Maeve!!
