Maeve's Newborn Photoshoot

Josh and I recently purchased a DSLR camera for taking pictures around the property and also of Maeve (could you think of a better reason?)
So we set up a photo shoot in our canning kitchen.  We used a blanket we refer to as "Bear," due to it's fake furriness. We also have a square of lime green faux grass rug from her nursery.  There was a shot I saw on Pinterest of a baby in a wooden bucket.  As part of our Christmas present from the McElroys, Josh and I received a firkin.  As a baby present from the former owner of our property, Betty Keim, we received a hand knit blanket, which is the ivory one seen.  Here are a few shots:

My favorite, Maeve in the firkin with Betty's blanket

Wearing her Irish pride

This is a headband I made using feathers and my great grandmothers brooch.
It is the same brooch I wore my wedding day.

Bee outfit I crocheted that Maeve peed in...

Love!

  1. OMG!!!!! The video of your photo shoot is the best video EVER!!! ADORABLE!!!! I was laughing and crying at the same time. The music went perfectly with the photos. It's amazing how easy going Maeve was with the whole thing. She looked like she was just fine with whatever position you put her into. These photos are pure love! Thank you for sharing.
