In honor of Brad and Lisa flying into New England from the West Coast, Maeve and I made a road trip to Jamie and Paul's house in East Brookfield, Mass. over this past weekend. Josh was busy at work, so it was a solo journey. I definitely had to stop more frequently than usual, but Maeve still did ok. Laura also journeyed up to Jamie's to see the Sawin/ Roy clan in.

We had a great time meeting everyone and being passed around. Brad and Jamie watched Maeve so that the three L's (Lisa, Laura, and Liz) could go for a run. They made the mistake of mentioning that Maeve was a good baby, when Maeve let it loose and pooped through her outfit. A first diaper change for Brad, definitely scarring experience!!
In the afternoon, we made a trip to Klem's and purchased all the necessary tools for making a 50 ft slip and slide in Jamie's back yard. (BTW, if you plan on making on, don't buy black plastic, it gets HOT!!) Maeve watched from her Bumbo as the ladies shot down the slip and slide. Soon enough, she will be the one going down the slip and slide!!
Paul came home (thanks for being a good sport Paul!) and grilled some dinner. We ate and were merry and had a great night with friends!! I wish we could get together more often, but life takes good people in different directions!!
I thought about on the way home that Maeve had now been to 8 states: Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
