So at four months old, most pediatricians give you the green light to try some foods. Some literature suggests waiting until 6 months to prevent food allergies. Josh and I haven't really decided what we will do yet. Most doctors tell you to start them out with rice cereal though. Well, our garden is coming in and the peas were fresh. I decided to make baby food with them. It's amazing the difference in color between canned peas and fresh peas!! (see below!)

So Maeve was watching me make this and started smacking her lips (which is pretty common anymore). I thought, "Why not?!" and gave her some fresh peas. She basically drooled them out and ended up with a very colorful bib. I guess she is not quite ready for food yet, but we may try again another day. Any thoughts on when to feed a baby? My father tells my I ate food at a month old!
